Data Opportunities at Randstad Groep Nederland

Do you prefer jumping straight into algorithms? Or perhaps a data lake after all? What about a global data ocean? We have opportunities for data engineers, BI specialists and data scientists. This is what you can expect in each role:

• Data Engineer. You are responsible for the central nervous system of our labels randstad, tempo-team and Yacht. By continuously improving and expanding our AWS based self-service datahub and connecting the right data sources, you make sure we have the infrastructure to make all our data dreams a reality. Our datahub team works fully cloud based and is continuously pushing the envelope when it comes to innovating - which is why we are moving from data lake, to data ocean.
• Business Intelligence Specialist. Whether you prefer the backend and feel right at home in the Data Warehouse, or frontend, dashboards and reporting are your happy place, both are represented within our Operational Insights team. You build on the work done by the datahub data engineers and focus on our Redshift based Data Warehouse and ETL processes, or help us migrate to a tableau based frontend, providing 15.000 reports to all parts of our business. In both cases you work closely with both the business and our other data teams, to maximize the value from our data.
• Data Scientist. Machine Learning more your thing? Our data scientists work on things like recommender systems and natural language processing, building AI supported smartmatching solutions to support our recruiters and consultants. In a balance between research and business they are also responsible for applying AI breakthroughs into potential new business use cases.

Who are you?
You know exactly what the value of data is in today’s organizations, and you know exactly how to get the right information to the right place, whether that be through pipelines, ETL processes, dashboards or algorithms. Apart from that you have:

• The ability to think critically and at degree level, the degree itself is secondary for us
• Demonstrated experience within either:
• AWS, Python, ECS and data engineering for our data engineers
• AWS, Redshift, Python and ETL processes for our backend BI specialists
• Tableau and coud-based DWH experience for our frontend BI specialists
• Machine learning and Python for our data scientists
• a proactive and agile approach, with the drive and curiosity to continously improve and learn
• very good knowledge of the English language
